Creative Writing
This space holds long-form writing, essays, reflective work, and developing projects that sit between memoir, observation, and story.
The writing here is personal, but not performative. It’s rooted in lived experience, recognizing my patterns, and the slow work of making sense of things after the fact. Some pieces are complete. Others are fragments, notes, or works in progress.
Not everything written here is meant to be consumed quickly. Some of it exists simply because it needed to be written.
Over time, this space may include essays, book projects, narrative experiments, and supporting material connected to music and other creative work.
Why the name Liam Thorn?
Some of the writing published here appears under the name Liam Thorn.
Liam Thorn is a pen name used to create distance between the work and the author’s professional and personal life, and to allow certain pieces to exist without being immediately tied to biography, expectation, or outcome.
The name represents a boundary, not a persona.
Writing as Liam Thorn allows the work to stand on its own, separate from career roles, public narratives, or assumptions about intent. It’s a way to protect the work while it’s still forming, and to let difficult or vulnerable material exist without explanation or defense.
Some writing may appear under this name. Some may not. The distinction is intentional.
